2. Data concerned

  • Contact form: name, email, subject, message and technical security data.
  • Purchase and licence: order identifiers, product, variant, key and activation status transmitted by Lemon Squeezy; this website receives no card details.
  • Support and any separate human review: messages, files and educational responses voluntarily submitted.
  • Local logs: progress, errors and licence cache stored on the user’s computer.
Health data: never submit a real medical record, patient name, date of birth, hospital identifier or any information that can identify a person. Codex Medicus uses fictional educational scenarios only.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering enquiries: legitimate interests and pre-contractual steps.
  • Providing software, licences and support; for a separate human review, performance of the distinct related agreement.
  • Billing, evidence and accounting duties: legal obligation.
  • Security, fraud prevention and legal defence: legitimate interests or legal obligation as applicable.
  • Marketing: consent where required; no automatic marketing subscription is enabled by default.

4. Recipients and processors

Data is accessible only to the publisher and, depending on the service, Infomaniak for hosting and email, and Lemon Squeezy for checkout, payment, tax, delivery and licensing. A BYOK provider chosen by the user processes prompts under its own terms. Local Ollama and Whisper do not send content to this website.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards and mechanisms are described in their policies and data-processing agreements. Customers should review information shown at checkout and by any BYOK provider.

6. Retention

  • Contact requests: up to 12 months after the last useful exchange.
  • Dossiers for any separate human review: retained for the period stated in that distinct offer and only as long as necessary, subject to legal obligations or disputes.
  • Contract and evidence data: during the relationship and for the period required by legal duties and defence of claims.
  • Local data: until the user deletes the profile or uninstalls the product.

7. Rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent without retroactive effect. Contact catherine@personalfrenchteacher.com. A response will be provided within the statutory period. You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL.

8. Cookies

By default, the website uses only technical elements necessary for navigation, language choice and checkout. No advertising cookie or non-exempt audience tool should be added without compliant information and consent controls.

9. Security

HTTPS, security headers, public-file restrictions and access controls are implemented. No system can guarantee zero risk; users must protect their device, keys and backups.
